AAUW Weatherization Project
Thanks to a grant from the American Association of University Women, GCEA offered Energy Efficiency/Weatherization Workshops for Women from autumn 2009 through winter 2010. The purpose of the workshops was to educate women about energy loss in their homes and what measures they could take to increase their homes' energy efficiency.
Participants learned basic skills and techniques for installing weather-stripping, insulation, and other energy efficiency measures that are proven to lower utility bills.
The workshops were held in local area homes where participants got hands-on experience in learning how to problem solve.
GCEA is always looking for members who want to volunteer to hold a workshop in their homes. If you are interested in hosting a workshop, please print the application, fill in the information, and submit to GCEA.
