With SmartHub, you can make a payment, check your electric usage, communicate directly with GCEA, receive email or text alerts and review weather information. To Access Your SmartHub App - Members with smartphone or tablet devices can download the SmartHub app from iTunes App Store or from the Google Play Android Market. Download your free app today! After installation of SmartHub, search for Gunnison County Electric Association.Log in using your existing account information or register as a new user. To register you will need your account number and the name on your account exactly as printed on your bill statement.
Advantages of Accessing Your Bill Online - In addition to the convenience of paying your bill electronically, you may view account information, such as your billing history, payment history, and usage history online. Managing your account online also allows you to view your daily usage. Having access to monitor your daily usage will give you more ability to control your costs.
PAPERLESS BILLING CONTEST - Each Fiscal quarter, GCEA will hold a drawing for members signing up for paperless billing for the first time during that quarter. Pay Now is an easy way to pay! Pay Now offers an online bill payment alternative to SmartHub. With Pay Now you can pay your bill without creating and maintaining a password. To manage all aspects of your electric account, please register with SmartHub.
Sign up to have your payment automatically deducted from your checking or savings accounts on the bill due date. Once set up, the payments will be reoccurring and your checking or savings account will be charged automatically every month on the bill due date.
GCEA recently implemented its newest payment option, PAY BY PHONE. Once your account is set up, Pay by Phone allows you to make a payment without giving your personal information to a live person. This new payment method is quick, easy and totally secure. Members can now make payments 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling 844-GCEA-PAY (844-423-2729).

Charge your payment to a credit or debit card. Once set up, you can make the payments be reccurring and your credit or debit card will be charged automatically every month on the bill due date. Log-on to SmartHub and click on the “Billing & Payments” option. Click on “Auto Pay Accounts”, click on “Sign Up for Auto Pay” and enter your information.
PREPAY allows you to purchase energy and monitor your electric usage in a self-managed program. Our PrePay program is a billing option for residential members designed to optimize payment flexibility and avoid having to pay large deposits. Members can visit one of our offices to sign up or switch an existing account to PrePay. An initial $50 payment toward your credit balance and a $20 activation fee is required, in addition to our membership fee. Once your account is set up, you need to register with the FREE SmartHub app to receive notices. Our PrePay accounts are calculated daily based on the energy consumed in the previous 24 hours. When your account credit balance gets low, we will notify you by email or text to remind you to replenish your account to avoid interruption in service. Payments can be made in our office, by mail, through the SmartHub app or with our new Pay by Phone option at 844-423-2729.
The Budget Billing Plan provides members the option to pay an average bill throughout the year. A member must have been served by GCEA at the member's current residence for a period of twelve (12) months. A year's average is calculated for monthly installments and helps spread the typcially higher bills of the colder months throughout the 12 month period. Each June is the reconciliation month for which credit or additional balance due is accessed.

City Market, 880 North Main Street in Gunnison, located at the customer service counter
The Crested Butte Bank, 116 6th St in Crested Butte, located in the entrance lobby
GCEA Headquarters building, 37250 W. Highway 50 in Gunnison, located in the front parking lot
We do request that all payments be made by check and placed in an envelope with your name and address. If you are making payment to prevent a disconnect, you should not use the drop box, instead personally deliver those payments to the office or make immediate payments online.
